Thank you! I'm very grateful I was contacted about putting it on portmaster, and glad you could enjoy it that way.
The game is free because I simply wanted The Rush to be as easily accessible as possible. It is exceptionally unlikely that the first Steam game by an unknown indie dev in a fairly niche genre would see much success or appeal, so I opted to make the game free and sell the soundtrack to maximize exposure. Perhaps that is a pessimistic viewpoint, but I believe it was the right decision in this case.
Hellos, I am one of the Dev’s from PortMaster and we work to bring games from PC to arm linux based handhelds. I have managed to get the steam copy to work and am wondering if you would allow the distribution of your game via PortMaster or would you prefer users to download your game from Steam/itch.io? Awesome game btw!
Thank you! PortMaster seems like a wonderful resource. I would be honored to have the game distributed through PortMaster as long as credit is given. In my opinion, the more people who can find The Rush, the better!
Thank you and that is really awesome! Also, due to the 4:3 aspect ratio, I have patched the UI a bit for a better fit as well. Hope you are okay with it :)
I'm totally fine with it (and it looks great). To be honest, the reason those informational sidebars exists is mostly to help fill out the average 16:9 monitor.

I bought an Anbernic RG40xxh and I found your game on portmaster, oh man great game, I really like it, good work!
Why is the game free on steam? To give a little support to you and your musician friend I ordered the great soundtrack on steam.
Thanks for your work!

Can't say that I'm very good at "bullet hell" games, but this was super fun to play!
